I was raised in Princeton, Missouri, where I grew up with horses. I was in college on summer break when I had my first encounter with cutting horses. Russell Briggs had hired me to break colts for him. Russ enjoyed cutting and introduced me to the sport.
I'll never forget my first ride. I went back to school at Lamar Community College with a plan. An internship with Don Taylor in Minco, Oklahoma was the first step. Russ and Don influenced me to pursue a career in cutting. In May of 1987 I married Annette Robinson. We are also blessed with our two children Trace and Delaney. We could not have built our business without the help of family and friends. I am grateful that the Lord has allowed me to make a living doing something I tremendously enjoy.
